Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (RQF)
Who is this qualification for?
This qualification is aimed at learners who wish to become emergency first-aiders in the workplace. The qualification will provide you with the knowledge and skills required to deal with emergency first aid situations, as outlined in the Health & Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981.
Course Duration
3 days face to face or 1 day e-learning and 2 days face to face with blended learning.
Re-qualifications are 2 days face to face or 1 day e-learning and 1 day face to face with blended learning.
Topics covered
The qualification covers knowledge and skills such as:
• The roles and responsibilities of the first aider
• How to assess an incident
• CPR and use of an AED
• Dealing with chest injuries
• Dealing with spinal injuries
• Dealing with anaphylaxis
Assessment method
This qualification is assessed by a practical demonstration and written/oral questioning.
