The Apprentices duties will include:
Ensuring good safety and excellent hygiene is met and kept to a high standard within the kitchen.
To assist the Head Chef in the preparation of all foods.
Organising stock rotation to ensure items are consumed within their shelf life.
To assist the Head Chef at all times.
40 hours over 5 days. This will include some split shifts. The hours will be varied due to the nature of the business.

The Lamb on the Strand is a busy food led country pub / restaurant with 2 luxury cottages within the grounds set in some of the prettiest rural countryside with some stunning views. All our food is made in house and we are currently looking at putting in an allotment to home grow vegetables as well as having pigs and chickens. We can offer support for the right applicant and you can be rest assured that you will receive the best in house training from highly skilled individuals within the industry.
No specific skills required, but a passion for cooking is essential.
We are looking for a forward thinking, hardworking individual with an ambition to work hard within the industry and go on to succeed in their own right as a chef when they qualify.
No previous qualifications are required.
There will be a pay increase and a permanent position within the company once the Apprenticeship is complete. An opportunity to complete an Advanced Apprenticeship for Chef De Partie will also be possible for the right candidate.
