Junior Sous Chef/Sous Chef – 2 AA Rosette kitchen

Location: Central Wiltshire near Devizes

Salary: £22,000 - £24,000 per annum depending on experience (accommodation available)

The Role:

Working in a Junior Sous/Sous Chef position. Joining a young and passionate kitchen team, you will be working alongside talented and creative chefs in the 2 AA Rosette kitchen.

You will be required to run aspects of the kitchen working alongside the Head chef and fill in for their responsibilities on their days off or when on duties for the outside catering company. Helping to develop the skills and knowledge of our apprentices and junior kitchen staff, contribution to menu ideas and development with new dishes when appropriate. A great opportunity for you to show your passion for being a chef.

The plan is to work 3 days of split shifts and 2 of days straight shift. But the employer has said that this is negotiable.

The position does come with the possibility of accommodation with living in available.

The Client:

A pub & restaurant with accommodation in the heart in Wiltshire. Traditionally a sixteenth century coaching inn, it combines modern day style with bundles of country character. Their aim is to offer that little bit extra for their guests, whether it’s a relaxing pint in front of the fire, a treat in the restaurant, a night away from it all or a bottle of Rosé in the garden.

The restaurant specialises in seafood delivered daily from St Mawes, in Cornwall. A full- la- carte menu offering meat and game dishes using locally sourced produce is also available in the restaurant and bar. The employer offers award winning food and is complimented in many food guides. It has been awarded 2 AA rosettes & an Egon Ronay Star.
