Functional Skills in Information Communication Technology at Entry Level
Who is this qualification for?
Entry Level will suit anyone wishing to develop their ICT skills. You can get ahead in work, education or daily life by building your ICT skills with the Functional Skills qualifications. This qualification will suit you if you’d like to start with the basics by familiarising yourself with the language and tools involved, and subsequently begin to build your skills to solve straightforward problems. It will give you support and guidance before moving on to entry level 2 and subsequently entry level 3.
The duration of this course is from 12 weeks, consisting of one x 2-hour session per week. It should be noted that you will be expected to complete some work in between sessions, at home, as well.
This qualification covers skills that include:
• Interacting with ICT for a given purpose
• Following recommended safe practices
• Finding given information from an ICT-based source
• Entering and editing single items of information
• Bringing together two given types of information
• Using ICT-based communication
This qualification is assessed by an externally set and internally marked paper-based test.
